Illness at School: We had lots of students out due to illness this week. Thanks to everyone who has been cooperative about keeping sick students at home. We hope everyone can recover quickly. Please keep kids home when they are ill. We will continue to request close contacts of COVID 19 to wear face coverings. Additionally, we ask students/staff to wear face coverings when there are exacerbating symptoms such a chronic coughing and sneezing or runny noses. We want to do everything we can to mitigate the spread of all the bugs going around so that we can continue to serve students in person. We appreciate the effort and cooperation with helping us to stay in school face to face.

Family Meals: Starting next Wednesday, Feb. 2 there will be class after school grades 7 through adults on creating meals for families. It will meet Wednesdays after school and Fridays at 10 AM. There will be a $10 fee for the class to offset food expenses. This will cover 4 classes. If you would like to sign up, have questions, or would like to donate food for the class please contact Susan Petersen 644-2206 ext 223. Her email is [email protected].

Bus Routes: We have several drivers subbing on routes, please be patient with some inconsistency on pick up times and drop off times. The fog this week also impacted the schedule. We are doing our level best to keep the routes working. We are always looking for bus drivers. We have an opening full time bus driving positions. If you are interested please give me a call at 644-2206 ext 230.

4 Day School Week: At last week’s school board meeting trustees voted to keep the 4 day school week for the 2022-2023 school year. An official school calendar will be determined and approved in the coming months.

Event Parking: Please be aware of Senior Citizen and Disabled parking zones near and around the gyms. They are set aside for our older fans or fans who might have a disability which requires closer parking. Please observe the signs and park farther away to make room for others who need to be in proximity.

Weather Events: It’s time to make sure students have proper clothes and parents stay tuned to the radio, email, or school facebook page in the event that school is delayed or cancelled. We will do our best to make decisions the day before a cancellation. Sometimes the decision is made before bus routes leave which is 6:45 AM. 750 KERR radio will be notified and email will be sent out in the event of cancellations.
