Divisional Basketball Tournament: The Lady Vikings play Granite County at 9:30 AM Thursday in Frenchtown in the opening game of the Western C Divisional Basketball Tournament.
Prom Dress Exchange: Ninepipe’s Lodge has teamed up with the Jaded Pony Boutique to bring a Prom Dress Exchange to the lovely young ladies of the Mission Valley! Our Mission is to provide high school aged girls with formal dresses, jewelry and shoes at no cost and to help those of you with extras in your closet to donate. We also have joined forces with Awesome Aunties Boutique who will be donating a limited supply of jewelry from her Paparazzi Collection and some prom dresses from last years event in Polson!
Here is how this will work: We are looking for donations of NICE, CLEAN prom dresses of all sizes along with women’s dress shoes and jewelry. You can drop it off at The Jaded Pony Boutique on Main Street in Ronan or at Ninepipe’s Lodge starting today February 7th until Wednesday, Feb. 28, we will write your name down when you drop off the dress so you have a credit for the exchange for a dress. You can drop off as many as you would like but during the exchange, each person will only be able to leave with one dress. On Thursday, February 29 from 2pm - 8 pm, we will display all of the donated items at Ninepipes Lodge for the young ladies to come do their shopping. Example: You drop off 5 dresses but only have one child means you leave with one dress and accessories. If you do not have a dress to exchange, the cost will be $25 which includes a dress, shoes, and one accessory limited availability. CASH ONLY which will be used to buy supplies for next year’s event. We hope this is a successful event and we need your help with the donations so OPEN THOSE CLOSETS! Feel free to text Christy 406-260-8072 or Kelly at 406-529-6501 with questions or to arrange a pickup if we are able. PLEASE BE AWARE, you will NOT receive any of the donated items back, the unused dresses will be kept for next years event or given to a company who makes dresses for stillborn infants and the jewelry and shoes will go to next years event or to the local thrift as well. Thank you for sharing.
Question of the Week: When will out of district applications be available for the 2024-2025 school year?
Beginning on July 1, 2024 a new law takes effect concerning non resident students attending schools. This law changed some previous requirements for school districts so there is work being done on new school board policy by all Montana Schools. Charlo is currently working through the policy as discussion items at monthly board meetings. We hope to have an approve policy by April. After the policy has been adopted by the school board then applications will become available.
If you have a question of the week please email it to [email protected].
Parent/Guardian Contact Changes: If your phone number or email changes please notify the office. Additionally, please set up your voicemail and clean out your messages. When trying to contact parents it is important to be able to at least leave a message. About 1 in 3 times the mailbox has not been set up-the mailbox is full-the phone number has been disconnected. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Morning Drop Off: Just a reminder that when dropping off students it is safest to travel from North to South the same direction as buses dropping off students. This reduces the need for students to cross against the traffic. We still have a few parents dropping off their students near the shop area at the junior high. This is a congested area and hard for school buses to navigate. Please DO NOT drop off students in that area.
Attendance: Showing up is the number one reason for success in the classroom, on the team, or at your job. Conversely, poor attendance is the greatest challenge to accomplishing goals and being successful in academics, athletics, and at your place of work. Please stress the importance of good attendance. Stress the importance of being on time to class. They are important characteristics that can make or break achievement in all facets of life!
Weather Changes: With the change predicted in weather please stay tuned to 750 KERR Radio or follow our school facebook page for the latest updates on possible school delays and/or closures. We try to make decisions by 6:45 AM when there is unfriendly weather or bad road conditions. You can also join our email list by contacting the office 644-2206.
Substitutes: We are so grateful for those on our substitute list but that list is a pretty short one. If you have any interest in helping us out, we are always looking for substitute teachers, bus drivers, custodians, and cooks to help fill in when regular employees have to be gone. If you would like to be on our substitute list please contact the office for more information at 644-2206. We could really use the help.
Breakfast/Lunch Bill: Please make sure you student’s meals are paid up in a timely fashion. The best practice is to pay ahead. If you have any questions please contact the office.
